Where Our
Heart Is
The Open Hands Foundation was established by Westwood Community Church to create and support solutions to meet critical needs of vulnerable people, provide hope to our neighbors, and make a lasting difference in the Twin Cities Southwest Metro Area. Currently the Open Hands Foundation supports Hope House, a shelter for youth in crisis located in Chanhassen MN, the only such shelter in Carver County.

Make an Impact
Hope House stories are about healing. A recent resident of the Hope House offers a compelling story. No longer at home, he was sleeping behind the Cub Foods in Shorewood, surviving by eating out of the store’s dumpster. At Hope House, he was able to find shelter, food and a safe place to get back on his feet. Your support goes to help youth in crisis and make an impact in their lives.
Get Involved
Help us meet this growing need! Hope House, which is funded partly by grants, community organizations and individuals, is at capacity, turning hundreds of youth away each year. There are a number of ways you can get involved including volunteering, becoming a partner or by making donations.
