Hope Garden is in the backyard of Hope House and volunteers from Westwood Community Church tend it daily. It’s cultivated with love and that love grows an abundance of produce. With a knock at the backdoor, the staff at Hope House get first pick from the harvest weekly. The teens enjoy the fresh produce of tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, raspberries, green peppers, kale, broccoli and more. Some teens learn to cook the veggies, too. The garden veggies are included in each meal and helps teens create healthy eating habits. The garden will produce over 2,000 pounds of produce this season with some going to Hope House, and the rest being donated to other local organizations. We are so thankful for the garden volunteers for showing love in this practical way to teens.
