Each spring we love to invite our donors and volunteers to come tour and get an inside look at Hope House. Standing in the space brings is alive. It’s easier to imagine what it’s like to live in this home, the care teens receive and the dignity that’s shared when inside the walls. Many of our volunteers and donors only see the outside of the home while driving by or dropping off donated items, so getting to stand in the place where life-change is blooming is inspiring! We get to show them around, share stories of how Hope House is a place teens say is warm and welcoming and to share what it’s like for a teen when they arrive. Visitors can imagine video games being played, puzzles almost done, shared meals at the large dinner table, and homework getting completed in the living room, see a safe space where teens experience love, dignity and hope.

Jennifer and her friends visited Hope House for the first time last month. Jennifer brought her very delicious chocolate chip cookies with her. She regularly delivers fresh baked cookies to Hope House for the teens. Oh, how a cookie helps create a warm welcome to teens staying at Hope House. They sure feel the love! Thanks for sharing your gift, Jennifer!

Next fall, we’ll host another Open House & Tour so be on the look out for a date. We’d love to share the experience of a teen a Hope House with you, too.
