Rodney Provart

Executive Director

Rod is excited to join The Open Hands Foundation team. He is a marketing and global events professional with extensive nonprofit experience. Rod has a heart for serving youth and has many years of experience mentoring and serving students through various organizations. Rod is honored to have the opportunity to serve as a change-maker in the community and to influence the lives of youth, allowing them to become all they were created to be now and in the future. Rod and his wife Sara have three adult children – Kirsten, Britta and Colin.

Dianne DeKoning

Program Manager

I grew up in Chicago, although I call Minnesota home now. I have served in various churches and non-profits in the Twin Cities for over 20 years. My undergraduate degree is from Bethel University, and in 2006, graduated with a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership, also from Bethel. Helping people be the best version of who they were created to be in my life focus. Supporting the many facets of OHF is a pleasure and joy. I live in Eden Prairie with my husband, Andrew and 3 young children.

Pastor Joel K. Johnson

Founder/Board Member

Joel Johnson is the Senior Pastor at Westwood Community Church and a member of the Board of Directors at the Open Hands Foundation. Joel has served on the board of Open Hands since the Foundation’s inception in 2003. Joel lives in Chanhassen with his wife, Keri.

Michael Moore

Board Chair

Mike Moore is a member of the Board of Directors at the Open Hands Foundation. He currently serves as Secretary of the board. Mike is the founder and president of NP2H, Inc., a business development consulting company in the Twin Cities. Mike lives in Chanhassen with his wife, Jean, and has two daughters and three grandchildren. Mike is a member of Westwood Community Church.

Steve Lattu

Board Treasurer

Steve Lattu is a member of the Board of Directors at the Open Hands Foundation. Steve currently serves as Treasurer of the board. Steve is retired after a successful career in Minnesota at Cargill and Partners in Food Solutions. Steve lives in Chanhassen with his wife, Kim, and has two daughters – Rebecca and Jenna. Steve is a member of Westwood Community Church.

Beth Reiskytl

Board Secretary

Beth Reiskytl is a member of the Board of Directors at Open Hands Foundation and Westwood Community Church. She has been a member of Westwood Community Church since 2001. Beth is married to her husband, Rob, and they have three adult children – Sara, Adam, and Matt.

Cindy Alness

Board Member

Cindy Alness is a member of the Board of Directors at Open Hands Foundation and Westwood Community Church. She has been a member of Westwood Community Church since 2004. Cindy is a Registered Nurse and works at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, MN. She is married to Richard and they have six adult children and their spouses and 16 grandchildren.

Kyle Heitkamp

Board Member

Kyle Heitkamp is a member of the Board of Directors at the Open Hands Foundation. Kyle is retired after selling his company Service Partners, Inc, in 2001 and has been volunteering on numerous board over the years. Kyle lives in Excelsior, is married to his wife, Eileen and has three children – Marshall, Hannah, and Lincoln.

Tami Norton

Board Member

Tami Norton is a member of Westwood Community Church, a mother to four children and grandmother to one grandson, along with the joyful companionship of a loveable golden retriever. Tami eagerly assumes an active role on the board, recognizing the urgency of these challenging times and the need for actions that inspire hope. She is especially thrilled to contribute to the transformative Hope House expansion project, which aligns perfectly with her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

Candyce Trautwein

Beth Candyce and her husband, Justin, are members of Westwood Community Church and live in Eden Prairie. She is honored to be part of an organization that exemplifies the heart of Christ to “Share love, provide dignity and offer hope” for God’s children, in the midst of an uncertain and unpredictable world.
