Rodney Provart

Executive Director

Rod has served on Open Hands Foundation team since 2020. He is a marketing and global events professional with extensive nonprofit experience. Rod has a heart for serving youth and has many years of experience mentoring and serving students through various organizations. Rod is honored to have the opportunity to serve as a change-maker in the community and to influence the lives of youth, allowing them to become all they were created to be now and in the future. Rod and his wife Sara have three adult children – Kirsten, Britta and Colin.

Dianne DeKoning

Program Manager/Chaplain

Dianne has served in various churches and non-profits in the Twin Cities for over 28 years, in a variety of roles and has been supporting OHF since 2019. She has both a BA & MA from Bethel University in St. Paul. Helping people be the best version of who they were created to be is her life focus. Supporting the many facets of OHF such as interacting with volunteers and donors is a joy as well as with teens, as Chaplain of Hope House. Dianne lives in Eden Prairie with her husband, Andrew and 3 school-age children.

Lawrence Miles

Associate Director

Lawrence is honored to serve in support of Open Hands Foundation, an organization he deeply believes. For over 20 years he’s served in pastoral ministry, currently as Interim Director of Worship Experience at Westwood Community Church and as Lead Pastor of The Gathering Place, a digital-native church in Minneapolis. He’s passionate about the intersection of faith, justice, and practical compassion, which is exactly what Hope House embodies. He lives in the Twin Cities and counts it a privilege to walk alongside an organization that strives to meet felt needs here in the Twin Cities.

Bruce Anderson

Board Chair

Bruce Anderson is a member of the Board of Directors at Open Hands Foundation. Bruce comes with extensive leadership and business experience and has served on other Boards in the area. Bruce lives in Excelsior with his wife,  enjoys his grown children and adores his grandchildren. Bruce has been a fan of Hope House since before it opened, we’re glad to have him on the OHF board.

Steve Lattu

Board Treasurer

Steve Lattu is a member of the Board of Directors at Open Hands Foundation. Steve currently serves as Treasurer of the Board. Steve is retired after a successful career in Minnesota at Cargill and Partners in Food Solutions. Steve resides in Chanhassen or Texas depending on the season with his wife, Kim.He  has two adult daughters – Rebecca and Jenna. Steve is a member of Westwood Community Church.

Cindy Alness

Board Member

Cindy Alness is a member of the Board of Directors at Open Hands Foundation and Westwood Community Church. She has been a member of Westwood Community Church since 2004. Cindy is a retired nurse but hasn’t stopped caring well for those around her. She is married to Richard and they have six adult children and their spouses and 16 grandchildren.

Hannah Hegman

Hannah is grateful to bring her professional skills to Open Hands and support Hope House teens and the community. As Vice President of Event Strategy and Development for Do Good Events, Hannah’s expertise and joy in serving others is unmatched.

Michael Moore

Board Member

Mike Moore is a member of the Board of Directors at Open Hands Foundation. He currently serves as the Board Chairperson. Mike is the founder and president of NP2H, Inc., a business development consulting company in the Twin Cities. Mike lives in Chanhassen with his wife, Jean, and has two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Mike is a member of Westwood Community Church.

Tami Norton

Board Secretary

Tami Norton is a member of Westwood Community Church, a mother to four children and grandmother to one grandson, along with the joyful companionship of a loveable golden retriever. Tami eagerly assumes an active role on the board, recognizing the urgency of these challenging times and the need for actions that inspire hope. She is especially thrilled to contribute to the transformative Hope House expansion project, which aligns perfectly with her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Tami’s experience in Human Resources in for profit and non profit contexts assists the Board in a variety of ways.

Jim Theis

Board Member

Jim has served on staff at Westwood Community Church for 18 years. He cares for people by caring for the buildings we use to serve others. Jim’s experience and expertise in building new spaces, upkept of existing buildings and all the intricacies of that make Jim a great addition to our Board. He serves at the Facility and Security Director at Westwood Community Church.

Candyce Trautwein

Board Member

Candyce and her husband, Justin, are members of Westwood Community Church and live in Eden Prairie. She is honored to be part of an organization that exemplifies the heart of Christ to “Share love, provide dignity and offer hope” for God’s children, in the midst of an uncertain and unpredictable world. Candyce serves as Chief Financial Officer and brings her expertise to Hope House and Open Hands in a unique and needed way.
